There are several brands of silk painting gutta and also various different types. For the patterns on this website I have only used Marabu Contours & Effects gutta. 

I have found this to be the easiest to use and one tube lasts a long time. I have tried several makes and for the purposes of these patterns this gutta works beautifully. It is also versatile enough to paint onto fabric and to use for stencilling.

I have been asked many times what gutta I use in my videos and some people have found it difficult to source. So for that reason I offer it here direct to you anywhere in the world.

Whenever you try a new gutta, always test it out on a sample piece of silk to begin with. Get the feel of the flow, how thick or runny it is and find the most comfortable way to hold it.
It always takes a little time to become familiar with how it draws and how much squeeze it requires but it will pay off to give yourself a quick lesson before you begin using it on your work.

Items are checked before dispatch to make sure they are in perfect condition.

You are responsible for the cost of posting the item back unless it is faulty.
